My niece Judith and myself ended our 8 days walk along the Camino in Perigueux on Tuesday evening October 17 2017 in the home of Petra and Johanes Spijk - "Lit pour Toi" . This was probably one of the best evenings we had in these 8 days. The warm welcome started actually the day before, when I called Petra and reminded her of us coming, and told her we would like to have dinner with them. Petra asked, " is there anything special you would like to eat ? " and I replied : "yes, could you make a soup ?" and she said " how would you like a pumpkin soup ? " ? and I was delighted !! Next day, when we arrived, tea and dinner were served and were excellent, and the conversation very interesting. This is in a nutshell the whole story. Petra and Johanes know how to make you feel at home far from home. Unfortunately I had to leave very early next morning ( Johanes gave me a lift to the railway station at 06:15 ) and I missed the breakfast that I am sure was as good as the dinner, shower and bed. Staying with Petra and johannes at the end of August 2016 ended our holiday in France on a high.Our bed and breakfast accomodation could not have been better and left us with lovely memories of our hosts and Perigueux. Ken and Annerose

4 of us spent the night here in September, we were made to feel more than welcome, the house is beautiful as well as the gardens and surroundings, Town center was a lovely walk along the river about 20 minutes or so. We all had a wonderful experience here and a hearty breakfast in the morning as well. Johannes and Petra are a lovely couple who are more that willing to accommodate. We have just spent 4 days staying with Petra and Johannes in late July 2014. It was outstanding in the quality of everything, from the charming restored house, to the top quality accommodation and Petra's lovely breakfasts. It is within easy reach of Perigeux and of beautiful, quiet tours along the rivers and around the villages of the Perigord region. Highly recommended from all aspects of a holiday visit.
